Wild Harvested Teas & Salves Workshop

About

Join instructor Taylor Miller on a journey of discovery harvesting native plants to create teas and salves! Taylor has been foraging and making teas and salves since 2016. She will be completing a residency at the Neilson Spearhead Center nature preserve in September, during which time she is staying on site to further her understanding of our local ecosystem and how the plants on site can be used in our everyday lives.
TEAS

Native plants that can be used for teas include hyssop, red raspberry, lead plant, wild lettuce, chaga, nettle, mint, red clover, wild ginger, and more! All of these are delicious but also extremely nutritious and are a lovely addition to daily habits for overall health.
SALVES

A salve is a semi-solid topical preparation used to soothe, protect, and heal the skin and can be made from various ingredients, including natural herbs, essential oils, and other compounds. Coconut oil, olive oil, and beeswax can be used as a base.
