Montebello Trail

Lake Bemidji State Park

Bemidji is one of the few areas to offer a lighted trail for night skiing Open until 10:00 p.m., the Montebello Trail, is a gentle course especially suited to beginners and is conveniently located near the Paul Bunyan Mall, restaurants and many hotels. Lake Bemidji State Park, on the north end of Lake Bemidji, has trails that are predominately tracked for classical skiing.  Scenic trails wind through the forest and skirt the lake.  Candlelit social ski tours and the Volkski Classic are just two of the popular skiing events held at the Park

Buena Vista Ski Area X C Trails

Movil Maze

Buena Vista Ski Area, home to the internationally famous Minnesota Finlandia Ski Marathon, is recognized as having some of the finest trails and scenery in the Midwest.

Movil Maze is a favorite training ground for racers.  The steep, hilly terrain and beautiful scenery also welcomes beginning and intermediate skiers.

Three Island Trail

C.V. Hobson Forest Trail

Three Island offers 14 miles of gently rolling trails perfect for beginners and families, including the most scenic and popular trail in Bemidji which parallels the briskly moving snow-capped waters of the Turtle River. The C.V. Hobson Forest Trail takes skiers through forests of red and white pine and across a tamarack bog.
Itasca State Park Meadow Lake Trail

A few miles south is the famed Itasca State Park, headwaters to the Mississippi River. Ski trails take you to observation towers, historic buildings, spectacular vistas and right to the mouth of the mighty river itself.

Meadow Lake Trail is especially for the non-groomed back-country skiing enthusiast.   It's the only area trail where you can bring your canine friend.
