Minnesota Family Fishing Vacation on Big Lake

Big Lake is a 3,533 acre lake with a maximum depth of 35 feet.  There is a public access in the southeast corner of the lake off Forest Service Road 2177.  Walleye is the primary species on Big Lake.   Muskellunge are native to Big Lake with anglers reporting 40-50 inch fish.  Northern pike has a slot limit between 24 - 36 inches.  Also populating the lake are bluegills, yellow perch, pumpkinseed sunfish, rock bass, largemouth bass and black crappie.
