The First City Celebration of the Arts
 & Art in the Park

Many artists at Art in the Park!
The festival will feature four large activity tents, right on the lake in downtown Bemidji.  The Headwaters School of Music and the Arts will have a tent full of hands-on arts activities for kids.  Artists will demonstrate their talents in the Demonstration Tent.  Local musicians will be playing along with musicians from other parts of Minnesota in the Performance Tent.  The Headwaters Science Center will sponsor a tent featuring many hands-on activities for you to experiment with sound, air and water. 16 ethnic food booths will be included. 
The First City Celebration of the Arts  in Bemidji, Minnesota is the place to be in July.

International Day
Held in July & August
International Day.
An annual celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity held at the renowned Concordia Language Villages.  The event draws people from across the country.   Tour the villages while enjoying music, food, games and more.

Pow Wows
Held throughout the year
Native American culture, dance and friendship are renewed several times each year at authentic pow wows. Traditional activities include dance contests with drum groups and singers.

Beltrami County Fair
 End of July
Beltrami County hosts a fun and lively Fair, traditionally, the   Everyone is invited to join us for these hectic, sense filling few days each summer when town and country meet.  At the Beltrami County Fair you will find friendly competition of the best products and animals.  Our desire is to maintain the traditional arts and activities, provide exposure to developing arts, breeds, activities and to honor the best of both traditional and new.

We look forward to people from across the region joining us in July into August at the Beltrami County Fair in a celebration of excellence of individual achievement, Northwoods culture, life style and values.  It is fun for the entire family and reaffirms the proud heritage and traditions of the Northwoods.

Everyone may submit entries to the Open Class Competitive Exhibits.  You do not need to reside in Beltrami County, you just need to be in the area during the Fair.  Just bring your entries to the Beltrami County Fairgrounds on the 1st day of the Fair.  Items must remain in the exhibit during the Fair and can be picked up after 5 pm on the last day.
