In
honor of Minnesota's Sesquicentennial
Celebration, the MN Sesquicentennial
Commission sought nominations for 5 towns
to be an honorary Capital for a Day during
Statehood Week, May 11-18, 2008.
Through an on-line voting system, Bemidji
was selected to represent the Coniferous
biome. Monday, May 12, is Bemidji's
'Day'. Members of the
Sesquicentennial Commission will join the
citizens of Bemidji in celebration of the honor. |
